Jean H. Rettig, 92 of Lambertville, MI, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, in Flower Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  Born January 16, 1924, in Hamler, OH, she was the daughter of George and Martha (Panning) Gebers.  She married Bernard  Rettig on December 1, 1945.  He preceded her in death on March 9, 1998.  With her husband, Jean owned and operated the former Rettig Marine in Temperance for 20 years.  Prior, she worked in the office of the former Doehler-Jarvis in Toledo.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, Dendarah Court, #10 L.O.S.N.A. and was an auxiliary member of the American Legion, Conn-Weissenberger  Post #587 in Toledo. A kind and elegant lady, Jean enjoyed traveling, reading and spending summers at Lake Diane with her family. She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Diana (Scott) Coakley; grandchildren, Rachel (Dan Kasprzyk) Coakley and Michael (Tara) Coakley; great grandson, Jayden; and brother, Frank (Jeanne) Gebers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas, daughter, Deborah and sister, Norma Zimmerman.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, where funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.   Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
